The London Aquatics Centre

The Aquatics Center at the Olympics Park has a capacity of 17,500 and will host swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, the water polo finals and the swimming element of the modern pentathlon. It will also host all the swimming events for the Paralympic Games. Water polo will be held next to it in a temporary 5,000-seater venue with competition and warm-up pools. After the Games the Aquatics Center will be converted for use by the local community and elite swimmers. It will have two 50m swimming pools, a diving pool and a dry land diving training area.
